Kaveh Wong is a regional leader in venture building, cross-border partnerships, and innovation-driven growth. With over two decades of experience helping international companies enter and scale in Southeast Asia, he has built an operating career that spans oil & gas engineering, venture capital, and game development education — rarely fields that belong in the same sentence, but a testament to his conviction that the most enduring value is created at the intersection of industries.
At Curine Ventures, Kaveh partners with globally profiled firms to establish high-impact joint ventures and market-entry collaborations across artificial intelligence, education, gaming, and energy. He specialises in aligning global business strategies with Malaysian and Southeast Asian regulatory, operational, and cultural landscapes — providing foreign companies with a structured pathway to build sustainable operations in the region.
In 2023, Kaveh co-founded the Xsolla Curine Academy (XCA) in Kuala Lumpur — a game development school on a mission to architect Southeast Asia's sovereign digital future. Rather than allowing the region to remain a legacy outsourcing destination, XCA builds a closed-loop ecosystem positioning Malaysia as a high-value producer of original IP, advanced AI, and specialised semiconductor talent. Launched alongside Xsolla Founder Shurick Agapitov and attended by the Crown Prince of Selangor, MDEC CEO, and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, XCA represents Kaveh's belief that "collaboration is the key to success in Malaysia's game industry."
"AI can't replace original ideas. Creators who build unique worlds with unique stories will always be irreplaceable — that's where the future belongs."
